As a kid gingernut biscuits were (and still are!) my all time favourite and along with some friends we came up with the 'Gingernut Game' to make things a little bit more interesting.

The way it worked was that everyone took a ginger nut and placed it in the palm of their hand. On the word 'go' you would hit the gingernut against your forehead as hard as you could. You would then count how many pieces the gingernut had broken into and whoever had the most pieces won!

It was great fun and huge respect was bestowed upon the winner. Our Mums weren't so keen on the idea as the game usually resulted in a large amount of crumbs being spread around the house!

I have my own children now and although our daughter is a bit young at the moment the day will come where the 'Gingernut Game' will be handed down to the next generation.
