I remember when my sister and I were kids dissecting liquorice allsorts – throwing away the liquorice then rolling out what was left with the rolling pin and making delicious milk arrowroot liquorice allsort sandwiches! Something about the crisp crunch of the arrowroot followed by the soft sweet centre which was pretty magical when you’re greedy kids!
